Crypt museum (Krypta)
The crypt harbours the oldest remnants of the Fraumünster abbey. A multimedia exhibit portrays more than 1200 years of the city's and church's history.
You can visit the crypt museum during the opening hours of the church.
Due to high humidity, the crypt may be temporarily closed on certain days. We appreciate your understanding.

At the Fraumünster shop in the transept of the church, you'll find a hand-picked, unique range of goods. Notably, products with Chagall window motifs are available exclusively here.

Access by car is permitted between 5 am and 12 pm, but parking is only available with a permit.
Access for deliveries for an event in the church is also possible after noon with an access permit in the restricted zone.

FAQ
For touristic visits, you'll pay an admission and information fee of CHF 5.–. This fee includes an illustrated leaflet in the following languages: German, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and Russian. In addition, you receive a discount of CHF 5.– on the admission to the collection at Kunsthaus Zürich which features a representative selection of masterpieces by Marc Chagall.
Children and adolescents (0–16 years) and students (with student ID) can visit free of charge. Admission is also free of charge for anyone who wishes to come to the Fraumünster to pause for a moment of reflection and tranquillity.
Please show respect towards the church and abstain from loud conversations.
Eating and drinking inside the church is prohibited.
You are allowed to take photos for private use only. No flash or tripod is allowed. Please abstain from taking photographs during church service. The windows by Chagall are protected by copyright. Please restrain from excessively taking selfies or private photo sessions.
No, large suitcases, backpacks, trolleys etc may not be taken into the church. Walking aids or wheelchairs are allowed.
The entrance, nave, shop and exit are accessible with wheelchairs. Unfortunately, the crypt is not accessible. Also, a few steps lead to the choir with the windows by Chagall (incl. railing). There are plans to make the choir accessible for wheelchairs. An disability-friendly toilet is located to the right of the main entrance.
We provide an audio induction loop system for people using hearing devices, as well as additional hearing aids. There is also the App «Altstadtkirchen Zürich», which features a tour of the Fraumünster in German, English and Spanish, complete with text and images. Animals may not enter the church. An exception is made for service animals.
A few printed flyers and leaflets are available in English and French. The App «Altstadtkirchen Zürich» is also available in English and Spanish. Download it from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS); on site possible via the free Wi-Fi. In the church, the audiotour is only available with headphones. Headphones can be purchased from the shop in the church. All tours are also available as text to read. We also have leaflets in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Russian - as well as additional leaflets in Polish and Korean.

School classes and groups (5 to max. 30 people) can visit the church without registration. If a guide would like to give explanations in the church, they need accreditation for the Fraumünster.
Adults accompanying minors are responsible for said minors. Drawing and writing is only allowed with (colour) pencils on a solid pad. Sitting on the ground (incl. stairs) is prohibited.

Yes, the church and rooms in the nearby Helmhaus can be rented for a concert or other event.
