Manchmal sind es nicht Kirchenlieder, die uns sprituelle Unterstützung geben – insbesondere die jüngere Generation holt sich Inspiration aus gängigen Alltagshits. Dass man auch diese Lieder in einen kirchlichen Kontext bringen kann, zeigt dieses Beispiel aus unserer Reihe «Lieblingslied».

Jugendliche:r aus der Juki 8| Ich habe das Lied «Shake it Off» von Taylor Swift gewählt, weil ich es schon lange kenne und es mich oft aufmuntert. Es kam im Film «Sing» vor, den ich gesehen hatte und gefiel mir so gut, dass ich es gerne immer wieder höre.

Es handelt davon, dass manche gut über uns denken («players gonna play», «haters gonna hate»), manche aber «haten», also uns schlecht machen wollen (Anmerkung der Redaktion: «hate» aus dem Englischen: hassen). Am Ende können wir das aber alles hinter uns lassen, weil es sicher wieder gut werden wird. Wir können einfach weitergehen und darauf vertrauen, dass wir unseren Weg finden.

Manchmal ist das aber auch schwer, und dann ist Gott da und hilft uns. Er sagt uns, dass alles gut werden wird, wenn wir weitergehen und an ihn glauben. Er sagt, egal wo wir sind und egal was sich uns in den Weg stellt, er kommt mit. Er ist immer bei uns, auch wenn wir belogen oder gehatet werden.

Taylor Swift singt, dass wir immer wieder alles abschütteln können, was uns nicht guttut («shake it off»). Wir lassen alle, die «fake» sind zurück, und nur die bleiben übrig, die gut zu uns sind. Einer davon ist immer Gott. Es ist diese Botschaft im Lied, die es für mich mit Gott verbindet und mir hilft, wenn ich es brauche.
